Summary:
Warning: Advanced players only! This is not a faction for new players!
Stranded groups of colonists that over time gave up all hope of being rescued and started their own empires. It is not known how many of these groups exist, and it is difficult to track the allegiances of even the ones that are known about. Some join factions upon being discovered, while others insist on remaining independent. Former members of a faction who have been dissowned are grouped into this designation as well, as both are regarded as Outcasts in the eyes of the "more civilized" factions.

Summary:
The Overwatch started as a second front to the Institution's war on the galaxy. However, after being subdued in a suprise assault, they quickly lost all will to fight, and were forgotten in terms of galactic history. Their capturers began to ship political dissidents to the homeworld, and soon it was known for its use as a penal colony. Recently, the population of the inmates grew too large for their captures to contain, and they rebelled to their freedom. Their slaughter of their masters marked the extinction of the last known remnants of the Crimson Nation.

Summary:
A race of evolving beings that only a few thousand years ago were nothing more than single-celled organisms. After and IAMD blew itself up and crashed into an oceanic planet and the antimatter incorporated into the DNA of the species leading to a rapid rate of mutation. While their brains are constantly expanding their IQ prowess they are plagued by rapid cell death/mutation and are constantly seeking to enhance their brainpower while slowing down their rapid cancerous mutagenic DNA.

Summary: After the great disaster and the exodus, a lot of scientists left the Institution and regrouped together to create what is known today as the Galactic Research Initiative. Those peaceful men and women were in a profound disagreement with the Institution leaders and their xenophobic politics. They came to the conclusion that the great destruction that occured in the past was caused by a serious lack of knowledge and understanding of our universe and blamed the Institution leaders for their passive attitude toward it, saying that all this could had been avoided if they had done something about it instead of cutting in research funds to increase military. They decided to aim on their only goal of researching and developing new technologies in order to prevent another great disaster from ever happening again! Sadly, over the years, they became obsessed with that goal...

Summary:
The Spectre is a secret society only whispered about in rumors among the general populace. They are a tightly knit group, bound by the knowledge that only together can they truly succeed, and that in disunity lays failure and death. In general, the goal of Spectre is to subvert control over the galaxy. They eschew combat as a means to this end, instead gaining power and influence through trade, diplomacy, espionage, misinformation, shady dealings, alliance, and betrayal.

Summary: Regardless the flags they carried on the front hull of their ships the crews and the colonists of some surviving nations soon remembered from where and why they had to settle to the galaxies again which they had lost a few years ago. ‘In the beginning’ said a mother to her son, ‘there was Earth… Mother Gaia…’ It was so ironic that they had lost their homes just like their ancestors lost the earth; never ending battles, greed for power and wealth. So they started to send signals to all directions with the hope to contact others, regardless of their past. An ancient dream is now a hope, living together in harmony with their differences, a new attempt to sustain that they couldn’t sustain earlier either on former Alpha Galaxy or on the Earth. Soon one found the other and another found them, they navigated in the middle of space to each other, not for a battle this time, just to cooperate and make a dream come true. Every mother was teaching the same lesson to her kids, the blue green planet that once their ancestors lived and destroyed like the way their fathers did in former Alpha Galaxy. Now they are even open for the visitors that they may meet in this universe. But who knows whether this lesson will be forgotten soon like it was forgotten before or not.

Summary:
In the last days of the Universe a group of scientists frantically searched for a way to prevent the cataclysm. Operation 8 Ball was formed to send everyone in the universe back in time 1 week. Due to a miscalculation Operation 8 Ball pulled from the distant past a great military force, the SDL. Dadly this did nothing to prevent the imminent destruction of our Universe, but the knowledge they learned will be used to protect New Shelter and the entire universe from aggressors.

Summary: The Crusaders broke off from the main Unitology denomination when they felt their peaceful ways were not converting enough people to their religion. They feel that they have an obligation to save the souls of the galaxy, and that the ends justify the means. They will go to all lengths to convert non-believers, and if that means killing a few thousand so the rest see the light, then so be it.
